Do you think you need someone with experience to plan your wedding? We think you do! What could be worse than to travel thousands of miles and find that the people you entrusted to organize the most important day of your life do not know what they are doing?

Good things come in small packages, and Manuela is a prime example of that. Small in stature but huge in creativity and energy, she devotes herself fully to everything she does.

Born in the Yucatan Peninsula to Mayan parents, she grew up in Campeche, where she  did her studies, majoring in Tourism and Hotel Administration. She worked in Cancun before settling down with her husband Scott who runs the Tourist Information Magazine in Playa del Carmen. As a manager of advertising and public relations throughout the years of Playa's phenomenal growth, she has come to know, and has gained the respect of, many people in the Playa del Carmen business community.

Taking note of how many people expressed interest in what a great place this would be to get married, Manuela commenced on a major research project to investigate every aspect of what it would take to have a really perfect wedding here.

The result is Paradise Weddings.

Manuela spends her free time jogging, shopping, going to the beach, and traveling when possible.

She's the proud mom of her beautiful daughter Pauline, who keeps her busy whenever she is "not busy". She is open, attentive, and anxious to please. This is a woman who could excel in anything, but has decide to excel at creating the best weddings the Riviera Maya has to offer.

About Tere:

Born in Mexico City.
Education: Pan-American School of Hotel Administration
Specialization: Tourist Industry Administration

My first work experience was in a beautiful hotel called the Presidente Chapultepec in 1982. I held different administrative positions, and by 1986 I was a chief accountant.

Like many young people I wanted to leave the city where I was born, in my case Mexico City, and see new territories. With my experience and education it was not difficult to find a job with a hotel company in Cancun. With Hoteles Mision I started in reservations and advanced to a Sales Representative for the South-East, also working for other hotels, the Melia Turquesa and Pueblito.

In 1993 my husband and I decided to make a big change in order to better accommodate the arrival of our daughter. We moved to Playa del Carmen, a place that many call ‘paradise’, which was then a sleepy fishing village. We started our own small hotel one block from the beach.

Now Playa is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. With my business partner and good friend, Manuela, I have started coordinating and organizing weddings. We live in a beautiful place and we want to share it with many couples on a very special day in their lives. We can help turn your dream into reality by the Caribbean sea!

About Pedro:

Born in Mexico City.
Education: Pan American School of Hotel Administration
Specialization: Tourist Industry Administration

My first work experience in 1986 was in the beautiful hotel Presidente Cancun, now called the Presidente Intercontinental. In 1991 I went to work for Princess Cruises, later returning to Mexico City to work in sales. But once you have lived on the Mayan Riviera, it is hard to leave. So I returned to Cancun, where I met my wife, Sandra, married and had a son, Pedro. Now I work for Sección Amarilla, the local Yellow Pages, and I coordinate weddings with Tere and Manuela here in Cancun. I love to help make dreams come true!
